The Golden Stags went on a roll in the first quarter, taking a 24-8 lead at the end of the period.

The Chiefs would slowly crawl back to the game, but the Stags finished the game strong with a solid fourth quarter performance on the defensive end to seal the win.

Mike Calisaan led San Sebastian, which bounced back from its opening day defeat to San Beda on Saturday, with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and one assist, while Allyn Bulanadi and JM Calma added 10 points each.

Kent Salado had 15 markers, three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block for Arellano, which fell to 1-1. (Ivan Saldajeno/PNA)
